  • Roaming Profiles and Different Sites

Slightly wierd issue, which probably isn't quite right for this forum but anyway...

Client with 2 sites, requires roaming profiles, but has some users that roam between sites and have different settings (esp printers and also Office Macros) at each site, so user will need two profiles, one per site.

SBS 2003 at one site, 2003 server (DC) at other. Clients are all XP Pro

I had thought about a non-replicated FRS root, so the user picks up \\domain.com\profiles and automatically gets the local copy. Trouble is they sometimes get the other site and the wrong profile.

My current thinking is to map a drive in the computer startup script to \\localserver\profiles and set the profile to the Q: drive (or whatever letter I use).

Any thoughts on this process, or any alternative suggestions?
