  • Auto Log Off Issue

I am building an Windows XP Embedded image for thin clients. These devices are going into hospital patient rooms. Therefore, I have to have the displays shut off after a short period of time so that it doesn't bother the patients. On top of that I have to impliment an auto log off in case the staff forgets to log off manually.

Now for the issue. When configure the power settings to shut off the display, it prevents the auto log off from working. On top of that, after a certain period of time, it locks Windows.

I have tried every registry hack I could find to resolve this issue. I have also tried using POWERMGR from command line. I cannot use a blank screen saver because I am using the winexit.scr to force the auto log off.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
