  • XP Clients denied access to USB drives

I re-imaged 15 XPSP3 clients and now they cannot access USB flash drives. Since this has not happened before, I can presume it's not in the GP. The image was hacked from a close relative motherboard and needed mouse and keyboard drivers added post-restore. I am trying to do this remotely so I am wondering if there is a fix for this such as copying a driver or altering the standard GP. I guess I'm just looking for any tips from experienced admins on the easiest way around this. Thanks very much for reading.

So what did you do to prepare the image "hacked from a close relative motherboard"? Did you SYSPREP or do anything else before deploying?
