  • Unxpected Shutdown by Windows Audio Service Termination

    Hi All,
    I've a Windows XP (SP3) installed on my PC and and each 30 minuted or 1hour I receive the following error:

    "This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off.Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

    Tim before shutdown: 00:00:56
    Message:
    "Windows must now restart because the Windows Audio Service terminated unexpectedly"

    Please Advise me.

    Windows audio service control hardware related to sound like speakers (internal / external). It seems like issue with your sound card driver. Try to reinstall your sound driver and see if problem resolved.

      Have you scanned for viruses and malware???

      Any events in the logs???

      Is windows fully patched???
