  • XP SP2 unable to connect to outside network

    here's a weird one,

we are working in a 10.0.1.* network.
we are mapping a 192.*.*.* network drivers to some of our users.
on a windows 2000 pro we are mapping the 192.*.*.* without any problems.
But - when trying to map the same network drive in XP with SP2, after filling the details in the administrator user + password details in the window, it changes to DOMAIN\administrator + password, and login is not done.

    any ideas?

you'll need to pass the the credentials in the form of

    SERVERNAME\Administrator
    *******

    or

    COMPANY.LOCAL\Administrator
    *******
