  • Win XP does not process logon script

    Hi,

I came across a problem with net.exe, all users have login scripts assigned to profiles (batch files and vbs scripts). This is very basic batch script:

    net use M: \\server\share
    pause

When script pauses there are messages for each mapped drive, it says:
""The system cannon find the file C:\Windows\system32\net.exe""

No drives are being mapped at user log on time. I can execute the same batch script manually \\server\netlogon\logon.cmd and it works as expected.

I can use net.exe from a command line, new versions of net.exe net1.exe has been copied from another Win XP SP3 computer. Still cant process scripts at log on time.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thank you

Does the user account have permission on the C:\Windows\System32 folder?
