  • Group Policy

    Hi,

I had added "All users" mistakenly in "Deny login Locally" of Group policy.

Now i am unable to login the system via Local Administrator or by Domain Login.

Kindly Help me in this case.

    Thanks & Regards,
    K.Praveen kumar.

    Re: Group Policy

Try logging on to your domain comtroller via RDP. If you're able to log in then you can fix your GPO.

      Re: Group Policy

      Wow

Thats a cool mistake but you would be glad to know that you are not the first one to do it.

I have seen many such cases.
I will assume that you are talking about a domain envoirnment
so access the sysvol of your domain from some other client using \\
go into the perticular group policy guid , traverse further in it and you will find GPTtmpl.inf file, edit it with notepad, you will see in front of Deny logon locally right...there would be some Sid's delete them all and save the file...in you are not sure which one is deny logon locally right...delete the sids from all the DENY rights in the file.

Save the file and reboot the client...that should fix the issue

but if the machine is a standalone box then you can look for the group policy in c:\windows\system32\group policy

      I hope it helps.........
