  • Power Management

    Hey everyone,

So I have a computer lab at a school that I have locked down the computers for student usage. The power settings are suppose to be set to always on, however, when I logon as myself (domain admin) and then back to the student account it still has the power settings from my account (which is not set to Always On). My guess is that when the student account logs on its account is not able to change the settings back to the ones listed in the profile. I have tried using the GPO EZ Power Management tool put out by energy star but I get an error about the program crashing when the student logs in. Is there a way for me to allow the student account to keep its power settings?

    Re: Power Management

You could try modifying the registry files permissions here:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ControlsFolder\PowerCfg\GlobalPowerPoli cy

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ControlsFolder\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies
