  • Best way to make xp bootable disk with diagnostic tools?

My hard disk is going to fail.I have collected data over 3 years. Please help me.
I have created bootable disks with the help of following websites.

    1.http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/
    2.http://www.helpwithwindows.com/Windo...ce_Pack_3.html

The first one created successfully but, i don't know how to copy the data from hard disk to pen or flash drive.
The second one also created successfully but, windows not able to boot using this disk. It boots from hard disk as usual.

    OS XP SP2
    Burner : Nero 9

    Thank you.

When you created the first one, did you boot from the CD that you made?

Was the USB key recognized when you booted it?

Was the hard drive recognized when you booted it?

Did you try copying the data from the hard drive to the USB drive using one of the file manager plugins?

Can you give us more specific information on what's happening?

Can you read the forum rules and not double post next time?

    Thanks

Yes, I can boot into windows using the CD

      USB key is not recognized.

Hard disk was recognize, I can see all the local drives exept the USB drive.

Yes, I am trying to copy using A43 file manager that is included in the bootable CD.

I have posted the two questions; one is for bootable disk and another is for slipstreaming. I thought that it will not make you confuse.

      More information :

when I boot into windows using the bootable CD, I can see all of the local drives expect the USB drives. I have two USB ports, I have tried on both. The usb drive is working fine in normal mode.

      Thank you.
