  • Windows Media Encoder error message.

I get the following error message when attempting to encode.
"The network connection has failed (0xc00d0029)"

If I stop the encoding and restart it, it works fine.

    Media Encoder 9
    Windows XP
    SP3
    All windows updates completed.

Talking with the company that we stream through they say it's an encoder issue.

I've spent a while scouring the net looking for similar issues and can't find any.

It worked fine for the longest time and in the last two weeks it's started doing this.

Edit: I should add that the Windows Updates were completed to see if there was a hotfix for it. So it wasn't an update that broke it.

    Any ideas?
