  • Invisible Partitions

I installed a 1T internal drive eventually after problems getting the bios to read it and then partioned it in dos.
Now although I can see the partitions under My Computer, they don't show under Computer Management, nor by Partition Magic or anything else.
Partition Magic straight away comes up with Init failed Error 117. Partition's letter can not be identified.
If went into dos with SpotMau and it can read them no problem.
At a loss as what to do to make them visible.

    Thanks

      Re: Invisible Partitions

I agree with Kevin. Use disk management.

Best practice is to create and format partitions in the OS where it's normally going tobe used.
This isn't always possible, but unless you have a compelling reason otherwise, I'd setup partitions in windows.

and there's probably no real need to use partition magic..
