  • Enable the "Secondary logon" services using Command

Hi all expert... hope you all can help me...

my company system are using windows xp + novel . and the "secondary logon" services is disabled due to company policy ... all users don't have administrator rights.. they are all "users" rights due to policy.

now i need to send one program to all clients which need "runas" local administrator.. we don't want to get users involved which activate the services manually...

now i wish to know how to activate client secondary logon temporary so that i can let my program running on client pc...

    TQ

    Hi,

You can do it through Group policy.
Computer Config - Windows Settings - Security Settings - System Services

From where you can set the start up mode and the relevant service permissions.
You could also look into scripting it whith the SC.exe but I prefer the first method myself.

You won't be able to start it if it's disabled so you need to revert the policy that disables the service in the first place?
Or try to enable it and with the SC.exe:

        sc.exe \\computername config "seclogon" start= auto

        and start it :

        sc.exe \\computername start "seclogon"

        Ta
