  • Mouse button mappings

    Hello.

I have an MS Intelli Explorer mouse. It has two thumb buttons. The default mapping is "back" for the bigger one and "forward" for the smaller one. I have no problem with "back" but "forward" is very useless. I always change that to "maximize".

The thing is, XP already recognizes those two extra buttons but doesn't allow me to change the mappings on them. I leave all the other settings as default, so just to change one button mapping, I have to install MS' own software, which is annoying.

Can this be managed via the registry? I tried to figure it out myself but wasn't able to do so. If I can change it with just a reg key import, that would be awesome.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
