  • MSN/HOTMAIL/.NET Passport accounts stored on Windows XP

    Hey all.
Basically, for those of us that use Windows/MSN Messenger and let others use it as well, it has a drop down list of all .net passport users (hotmail or others) that have previously logged on to that Messenger.

One way to look at or remove this list of previously logged on MSN Messenger users is to go to Control Panel> Users> Advanced tab> and click on Manage Passwords which will bring up this window as shown in the image:

My question is, does anyone know where this historical information (ie. list of hotmail addresses) is stored ? I've had a good look at the registry but no luck. My guess is that it MIGHT be in the Protected Storage folders of the registry, but since this list does not contain the passwords but simply the email addresses, I was hoping I might find it somewhere easier to look....
