  • WinXp sp3 + 0xc0000005 error when trying to adjust the properties.

    Lo,

In my company I got a Winxp sp3 pc in a domain, the small business server 2003 has the printers installed. It's an Oki C8600.

It's no problem, to add the printer and adjust settings at the properties screen, to any xp sp3 pc.

But as strange as it is, on this one it is impossible to adjust the properties.

I get following message (in dutch):

"Functieadres 0x68646fb2 veroorzaakt een bescherminsfout. (uitzonderingscode 0xc0000005) Sommige of alle eigenschappenbladen worden misschien niet weergegeven."

I read on this forum that one guy had the same problem with an sp2000 sp4 pc and a hotfixe fixed the problem.

Has anyone ever had this problem on a WinXp SP3 pc?

I googled a bit so here are somethings you might want to know.
My C-drive has over 200gb of free disc space.
Memory does not make any errors when running memtest.

    Thanks in advance,

    Coone

    Have you read this one:
    http://www.updatexp.com/0xC0000005.html

Also although memtest (which one? Memtest86+ ?) might see no errors there still can be faulty memory.

Yes I already found that url, but it does not help me to fix the problem.
I haven't try to just disable DEP yet, because that doesn't fix the problem if I'm nog mistaken.

      It's Memtest86+...

      Thanx in advance,

Hmmm I still would remove some RAM anyway to test it out.
