The H drive is already assigned to something?

Re: Drive Letter H not available

Normally you have something like a USB drive or one of those multi-format card readers that takes up about 4 drive letters and interferes with the mapped drive. I've started using "U" for "User" to avoid this (and resisted the temptation to use "L" )

What happens if you try DIR H: from a command prompt?

Open a command prompt and type: net use
You'll see the list of drive mappings. If H exists, delete it.
