  • IE7 in Hebrew

I cannot install IE7 in Hebrew on a Windows XP Pro English system that has been changed to Hebrew using the Hebrew Language Pack. When I start the installation, it says that the installation does not support the language currently installed.
    Any ideas?

Are you talking about the XP MUI (Multi-lingual User Interface) perhaps?
If so, I don't think it should work... The MUI barely changes the language of the UI, the underlaying OS is still in it's English version. This is why you get the error message.
Have you tried to install the English version of IE7? It should get Hebrew interface, once you have Hebrew MUI installed.

Yes, I am talking about the MUI.
I have installed the English version of IE7 and it comes out in English. I am contemplating installing IE7 in English, uninstalling the MUI and reinstalling after IE7 is already installed. Any idea how to uninstall the MUI? It's not in add/remove programs.

I believe it's done through Regional and Language Options in Control Panel (at least that's what it's called in XP).

There's no uninstall option there. Just lets you change from English to Hebrew.

            Languages tab > Details button

Under Installed Services, is there no Remove button? Very strange.

That will just remove the Hebrew keyboard, but not the MUI.

In any case, I found the solution.
There is a MUI for IE7 which can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

              Thanks all
