  • Creating a Dial-up Connection as a Regular User

Does anyone know how to allow regular users to create dial-up connections on XP Pro SP2 systems?

Remote Access Connection Manager service is running.

    Thanks.

Other than using runas? Then no

I can't really think of a reason why you'd want a limited user to be able to create new dialup profiles under normal circumstances anyway.

If it's for corporate VPNs then I'd suggest using CMAK to create an exe file and then deploy that exe to the appropriate users. There are lots of nice custom options like adding your company logo etc, and the users can't change the settings themselves.
