  • Password not consistent

I formatted my disk and re-installed Windows XP SP3.

Whenever I boot the computer, I login using my admin account + password. However, whenever the screensaver kicks in and I have to re-enter my password, Xp is telling me I have the wrong password. Then I restart the computer and re-enter the same password and it works!

Any idea what is going on? Of course, I could set the display setting to never start the screen saver or the power management to never turn the hard disk off but this is a crappy solution.

    Thanks

You could try resetting the password and restarting.
