  • try to start the "Server" service through a scheduled batch file, the service won't s

    I have a PC with XP pro on it, and when I try to start the "Server" service through a scheduled batch file, the service won't start.
    Only when i run the batch file myself it's working.
    (on some other XP PC's it seems to work even through the scheduled task).

    Any ideas ?

    What user ID is running the scheduled task?

      checklist;
      • The service 'Worstation' must be running
      • The Opstarttype property of the 'Server' service must Not say Disabled
      • In the properties of the service - goto the Logon tab
        - select: logon as local System account
        - and, the service must be enabled for the right Harware Profile
      • Check the eventviewer for service errors.

      The scheduled task must be runned as a user that is member of the local group administrators, or runned by the system account.

          All of the above apply, but still, only the scheduled task fails to start it (and it runs under ADMINISTRATOR).
