  • unable to create "guest" account

i tried (for the first time) to log in as guest but am not able to. i enabled the guest account from control panel. the guest icon appeared...when i clicked on it the first time the error msg i get:

Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you are connected to the network, or that your network is functioning correctly. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

i restarted the computer, now when i click on guest, nothing happens; if i click on my icon, every thing is normal.

disabling and re-enabling the guest account did not solve the problem

system: windows XP PRO serv pk 2, lenovo t61

    the pc works great otherwise.

Is this computer part of a domain at all?

has it become part of a domain (due to router settings)?

I wouldn't recommend you to enable the guest account.
