  • Task Scheduling Windows XP with NT backup

I am presently trying to back up everyones psts to a USB drive. Is there anyway that a script can be created that will automatically make a backup of the PSTs on a daily basis?. Can you also set it through the script, so that ntbackup runs in the background and doesnt pop up on the users screen?.

Does anyone have a similar scripts that I may be able to modify?.

Take a look at Robocopy, part of the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools. It is a CLI tool, but it even has a GUI.

      There is also this:

Outlook 2007/2003/2002 Add-in: Personal Folders Backup

Would take some administering and I suppose would not be as easy to deploy with current installs, but if you were to incorporate it in your deployment scheme for future users it'd be a snap....
