    hi,
    i want to increase the paging file size in winxp-pro machine

    my machine configuration very slow when loading graphic softwares
    im having
    pIV 1.4 Ghz 256 mb DDR ram with 3 partitions
    1) c : 30GB
    2) d : 40GB
    3) e : 10GB

    what size i have to set? in page file

    You'd be better served by purchasing more ram.

    Set your page file as a range, 384-768. If possible put it on a physical disk seperate from the OS.

      I agree with Andrew, that machine needs more RAM particulary if you are using graphics software. 256 is the minimum i would spec in an office use PC with XP.
