  • Persistent Network Share in XP Home...

We have a share that we need to persist after reboots. However, even after creating the network drive, telling it that it requires a different login and giving that info, then telling it to reconnect upon startup -- doesn't do it. Each and every boot-up greets us with an error screen saying the username and/or password is incorrect and asks us for the password again (showing us the proper username).

Isn't there a way to make the connection automatic and persistent?

sounds like you don't have permissions to access the share (which is why you have to input a valid username and password) check the share permissions on the share.
