  • remove windows xp effects by script/gpo

    Hi, i did not find the correct setting yet in registry, even though i saw something on google it did not work, this setting effect each user, its hkcu, and not local machine, i need to remove the effects with GPO or login script or something centralized.

    win xp os, sp2

            Hey,

            What i found is not enough there are more settings, in win.ini and more a guy told me, for now i have on time checking, if any one can help and know the correct settings i will be glad, it's strange there is no setting in GPO for that.

              Have you tried...

              [Start] [Run] [Regedit]
              Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
              Modify/Create the Value Name [UserPreferencesMask] according to the Value Data listed below.
              Data Type: REG_BINARY [Binary Value] // Value Name: UserPreferencesMask
              Value Data: [In Binary Mode - Change 3e to 28. Do Not Alter Other Values]
              Exit Registry and Reboot
