  • Make a Win98 boot disk from the 98 CD

Afternoon; I want to make a win98 boot disk, it seams like it was in the reskit folder on the win98 CD but I canít find it. Being I do not have 98 installed on any of my machines it makes it a little more difficult. Thanks in advance

Here's how I did it last time

Boot from the Win98 CD and select the option to boot from the CD with CD-ROM support. Don't install Win98

When you are at a DOS prompt you will be in a RAMDISK with a drive letter of A. Your existing floppy drive is now drive B.

    Simply do a format b: /s

Copy whatever files you need (format, fdisk etc) over to the B drive and you're done.

    Hope this helps
