  • not authorized to access my own intarnet web site

    hi

i install iis on my xp and configure a web site
this intend bo be an intarnet web site in my domain

i set the security to anonymous access
i and users can get to the web
but the day after we get
"you are not authorized to access the web site"

then when i uninstall and installed again iis
    i can access the web.

it seems like issue with the iuser password.
is there is a way to fix that?

    thanks

Re: not authorized to access my own intarnet web site

What has the Guest account to do with this?
IIS doesn't need a Guest account but the IWAM/IUSR.
      • have you checked you're security Log?
      • Are the NTFS permissions set correctly?
      • Have you checked with filemon which files are accessed?
      • In what language is the site written (eg, php/asp/cgi etc)
      • Did you checked the IIS logs?

      Check this out for resetting the IUSR password;

Ps how large is you're domain?
IIS on XP is not a good idea for a production enviroment
