  • Remote Assistance

    Hello Everybody,

I was wondering if there is any way for a win 98 computer to install the remote assistance server, so that I can help someone from my XP home computer. If not, is there a comparable (free) product that can be installed on the 98 computer so that I can connect to it? (not a VNC, but rather something that can be installed and configured easily) (i.e. I have a relative who needs something to be done on their computer but he's running 98 and I lives 500 km away. He doesn't know how to open ports etc. and prefers not to install anything if he doensn't have to, so the simplest solution is best)

    Thanks!

    NetMeeting

    Hi!

You can use the sharing program feature of Microsoft NetMeeting. If the 98 machine shares for instance the desktop, you will be able to take over the computer from your machine
