    RAM - max. limit?

    suppose that i have in my pc box install 8 gb or even 16 gb RAM !?
    has win xp pro any upper limit (perhaps 4 gb) to access all physical present ram memory?

    XP Home/Pro can only address up to 4GB of ram. This is a limitation of the x86-32 (IA-32) platform. This is because its based on 32 bit processors which have a 32 bit address space -2billon to +2billion or 4GB. Granted there are ways to address more using special techniques but you won't see this on a workstation OS or motherboard. There's always 64 bit processors if you want more.
