  • Startcli.exe failed to initialize (Win XP Pro)

I have a windows xp pro workstation that is recieving a error that states "Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application" << the title bar for this error is says "startcli.exe - Application Error". This workstation is a member of a SBS 4.5 domain. I checked the response folder on the server because we have had this error pop up in the past and replacing the folder that corrisponds with the workstation number of the machine having the error inside of the response folder. I replaced the folder for that workstation, that did not work. I also deleted the installed file in the response folder for that workstation hoping that startcli would try to install the SBS client apps again and would correct itself but that did not work. Also the error does not come up for one user specifically, I can log in as the administrator on that system and the error pops up again. Thanks in advance for any assistance that someone can provide me.

The only error that shows up in the event viewer is this >> http://pearcyis.net/error.bmp << and I doubt that has anything to do with the startcli.exe error. Again, thank you for any info you can provide me.

Thank you very much for the response, unfortunatly those articles and M$ knowledgebase article didnt resolve the issue. I did forget to mention one thing. This particular workstation has been a member of the domain for at least a year now. It is not a new member the SBS client setup has run on the system succesully, for some reason now its giving this error when the logon script tries to load the startcli app.
