  • reg.exe error

I'm trying to delete a value in the registry using reg.exe Delete.
REG DELETE HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\.......
The key VB and ... is a real key that includes spaces but reg.exe
    say: Too many command-line parameters.
I think is a bug but if anyone have a solution please answer.

    Thanks

    Re: reg.exe error

    Try this: -

    1. Open Regedit & navigate to the key you want to delete.
    2. Go to Edit > Copy Key Name.
    3. Paste it in command line window.
    4. if it include spaces Use " ".

    eg:
Insted of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Management Console Use "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsof t Management Console"
    Cheers!!

Put quotation marks around the key
      e.g.
      Code:
REG DELETE "HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\......."
