  • Administrator password for the recovery tool

    I had a virus recently.
I think it's gone, but my laptop keeps having blue screens every once awhile.
I've wanted to use the Microsoft disc with the recovery tool, but when I start it, I'm prompted to enter the administrator password. I have admin user but not the administrator user (sid 500).
My laptop is Lenovo. It has a second partition with windows. (not the one used for the recovery tool)
Can I use it in any way, I don't have a backup.
I don't know how to get that password. I don't even see that user in the control panel.

Who has the administrator username and password for this machine? Are you the owner/administrator of this machine? Do you have permission from your IT organization to recover this machine?

If you don't know the administrator password and this is your laptop you can change it or reset it with the tools on this page

      Thanks & Regards
