  • monitoring some files

    Hello,

I have been asked to monitor what is happen with some files stored on a shared folder from a Windows XP computer ( lets call it "server"). A few users have acces to those files from their computers.
The audit options from Windows only allow me to find when the files are open but not if they are copied from server to local computers ( HDD, flopy, flash)

Can you, please, recomend me a software that can tell if:

    - they are copied locally ( HDD, floppy, flash drivers etc)
    - they are send it by email or Yahoo Messenger or other web based email service
    - the files are printed ?

    Thank you!

Not too sure if it will solve all your issues but you could look into Windows Rights Management Services:

    Hope this helps
