  • dhcp client service

    Hi all,

One of my windows 2k prof. client always tries to get the ip address from my dhcp server eventhough the client machine is configured with the static ip address. I am able to see this from my dhcp log. The dhcp server denies the ip address since there is no free ip lease. Why the windows 2000 always tries to get the ip address from the dhcp server.

    Any help.

    regards

I think "reset" option is available only in XP, my client is windows 2000 prof.

Correct "...ip reset" exists in XP only. There is a reset option but its not to reset the IP settings.
