  • Which folder(s) is application.exe using?

I have a problem whereby a certain application on our systems will not function unless the user's rights is set to the computer administrator on each computer. But this is a security issue for me, so I want to know which folders/files the application is using/accessing so that I can assign specific rights to those for the respective user.

Is there an application which I can run as the admin to see which folders/files are being accessed? Once I know this info, I can replicate it for all users on their workstations. Thanks.

WindowsXP SP2, Application is called BuildSoft.

Do not look only for folders/files, but also registrykeys

The two tools that I use are filemon and regmon
