  • W2k Pro SP4 Install Problem

Ok so here is the problem.

I have an IBM Thinkpad X20.
The Win2K install CD, creates 2 partitions.
The C: as the active partition is only 1GB, and has tools in it, the Win2k system folder does not reside here, but all the boot files do.
The logical drive D, is where the OS is installed.

I cant install SP4 because it keeps trying to install to the C:

This is the only update that has caused this problem, I have all windows updates installed up to this.

This has got to be the most frustrating issue I have ever had with windows. I just want to slam this thing against a wall =D

Please if anyone can help please do.

No one knows, there has to be someone who has ran into this.

Nope, I haven't seen such a behavior before. Try to extract the SP by using the /X switch, then manually run UPDATE.EXE. See what happens.
