  • Windows Xp Pro SP2 CR2

Wondering if you could shed some light how to apply the two Excellent fixes Mentioned on the front page.

    1) How can I increase my broadband connection speed in Windows XP/2003

    2) How can I increase my hard disk speed in Windows XP/2003

    Even if you type
    SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command
    MSINFO32.EXE from the Run command

On a machine with SP2 on it goes to this STUPID Help look like screen

Can you please advise how can we revert to the good System Information

You can access the system.ini file directly. It is located in the c:\windows directory. Just open it and perform the changes.

To check the IRQ of the card, you can just go to the device manager (there are several ways to access it. For example, right-click on the icon "My computer"; choose "Properties"; go to the tab "Hardware" and click on "Device Manager") Expand the section "Network Adapters", choose your card, right-click on it and select "Properties". Then, go to the tab "Ressources" and look at the IRQ of the card.

    Have fun
