  • Secured user system time change

    Greetings,

I run a Novell network with Windows XP SP2 as client workstations. We have the ability to change the system time locked down in policy but I have 3 users in payroll that sometimes need to roll the system time and date forward in order for our crappy payroll program to balance over holidays and such.

Does anyone know of a program or script that will grant a secured user rights to change the system time and date? After they log out the policy would correct the time but the tempory change would allow the users to balance payroll.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: Secured user system time change

You can always create a group (containing the 3 users) and grant the group the Change the System Time right. This can be done through group policy Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\User Rights Assignment\
