  • win xp key change disabled,, only numbers are accepted !!!

    HELLO SIR,,
i have read your artical,, ''How can I change the volume licensing product key on a Windows XP SP1-Based Computer?"
and followed it,, till the step 10. but,,, instead of accepting the new key,, it says an error message ( with disabling me from entering serial key) '' only numbers are to be entered, .".. it means,, microsoft have disabled the key change.. and only numbers ( no alphabets ) can be entered this time,,. so what should i do. can you find the solution of this thing..
i have windows xp professional version 2002

There is a difference between serial key and product key...

You're talking about the serial key, but the article describes how to change the product key.

Make sure you clicked the 'Change Product Key' button below (step 9). Then you'll be able to enter the product key...

Good technicians / scripters don't know everything, they just know where to look for the answer.
