  • Open .exe file from a network location.

    Hi

I have two WindowsXP machines, the first one when I run a .exe file from a network drive it will give me a warning box if I want to open it or not (but it doesn't let me uncheck "ask me next time". But the second one doesn't give me any warning. I'd like to know if there's anyway to disable that warning. Thanks alot

Are they the exact same versions? i.e. Not XP SP1 on one and SP2 on the other.

How are you opening the file? Are you using Explorer or IE to browse to the file?

    Need more details...
    Andrew

They're SP1 ...they're the same ( same ghost image) . And run same file at the same network location. I'd like to know how to disable that warning msg box...It really bothers me.

I open the file from the network drive

Here's what I mean...The checked box "Always ask.." is greyed out.

Please advise if I can disable this feature.

          Thanks
