    Hi There.

I have and XP Pro machine here and the system process not a system.exe prcoess is running very high. As in 78 -90 % constantly.

Does anyone have an idea why this would be doing this?

    Thanks

      Which process is it??

Is it the System Idle Process????

If it is this process will nearly always utilise 99% of the CPU's time when it is idle.

        I found the problem.

I have a man3000 telephone buffer connecting to the PC via the com port. As soon as i unplug it from the com port the CPU usage drops down to 5%.

Problem with the com port or the man3000 telephone buffer?
