  • 2 IPs on client after server shutdown

    Hi all,

Would like to check what is the possible root caused for the below problem.

There is a server reboot and out of the 50 client machine (XP Pro 2), 5 was not shutdown. After server reboot, the 5 machine is not able to see the network resource but was able to browse the internet. Upon checking, I discovered that upon triggering the command ipconfig in command prompt, there are 2 ips address issue to these 5 machine. One of which is the static ip that is being assign while the other is a public ips that is mysteriously added on to the machine. I have went to the TCP/IP setting to check and only found one ip there which is the unknown public ip. Anyone know about the root caused of the issue? Appreciate your kind assistance

Can you post a screen shot of the ipconfig /all with the 2 IPs?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.
    1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
    2 2 1 1 2
