    dear friends,

    1.
we have a computer DELL precision ws 380 n series (windows 2000 Prof edition)
installed with a machine software (universys personalization scracth off machine)
    see http://www.kba-metronic.com/en/home/...s-pdf-e,en.pdf

    2.
and this computer is connected to a machine (universys personalization scracth off machine)..

After we install symantec antivirus 10, the s/w can not connect to the machine...
    NB :
norton antivirus : symantec antivirus from symantec corp (2005)
    full version : 10.0.0.359 (www.symantec.com)..

    3.
does symantec antivirus block certain ports that are used by the machine s/w to
    communicate with the machine ?

    4.
does norton ghost 2003 block any port ? we're afraid that after installing norton ghost 2003 in the pc...the s/w of machine can not connect to machine by certain port...

    5.
how to figure out which ports are blocked..and how to tell symantec antivirus r.10 to use
    another port ?

    6.
how to know which ports are used by s/w of machine to communicate with machine ?

    Tks,
    hendy
