  • can't access a system

I have a client as winxp and another client win2k server. Both these clients are joined to a single domain.Problem is this : When I ping to win2kserver machine from winxp machine it works well. But when I want to access that computers resources it messages as " network path not found".But I can access other clients from that winxp machine. Also when i access winxp client from win2kserver client ,it works fine. Also when access that server machine from anyother client again it works fine.
Plz help me to access win2kserver machine from that particular machine.

    Re: can't access a system

When you ping the server are you getting the FQDN as a responce i.e. or just win2kserver??

are you using static IP adresses on the XP box, if so then check the DNS settings are correct.

Let us know how you get on
