  • Why Small Business Server 2011 does not upgrade the Windows 10 Client to 10.0.586?

    Hi All,

Our company network is managed by a SBS 2011 machine.

I noticed that all the Win10 clients don't upgrade from 10.0.240 to 586.

There is something I should change?

    Thanks,

    Alberto

Has it been (a) picked up in the WSUS server and (b) approved?

Also, have you patched WSUS to allow it to deploy:http://windowsitpro.com/windows-10/w...grade-now-wsus

      Hi Tom,

No, the page you linked refers to Windows Server 2012, can I use it on SBS 2011 as well? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3095113

I presumed it was a WSUS patch, rather than a particular server OS - I would try it (ideally with a backup or snapshot first)

          Hi Tom,

          How do I check this?

Has it been (a) picked up in the WSUS server and (b) approved?

The WSUS Update Service says for all our three server machines:

"This computer has not reported status in 745 or more days. Learn about troubleshooting computer connection issues: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b23562a8-1a97-45c0-833e-084cd463d037."

The link does not help by the way.

            Thanks.

Yes, I can confirm that the WSUS server picked up and I manually approved the update. Even the WindowsUpdate.log looks fine on the client. Here are the last rows:
