I am starting to study for 70-270... I have been in IT for 7/8 years now. I am already MCP 70-290 70-291.

What topics do i need to cover in the 70-270 that are not already covered in the 70-290 ? e.g file sharing is covered in both, and i am comfortable with it but RIS is not so would need my attention.

If anyone has this information it would help me greatly to target my study accordingly, save me time wading through an excessively large book, alot of which is covered in 70-290, or i already have picked up over the last few years.

Thanks in advance if anyone could assist

    Re: 70-270

The 70-270 and the 70-290 do share a lot of the same things. I never got asked any questions about RIS on my 70-270 exam. I also wasn't asked anything about IIS like I was on the 70-290. I'd study up on XP's hardware and installation requirements, and things relating to remote assistance, and odd things like that that you may not be familiar with (we don't use that where I work). Most of the 70-270 stuff should be covered on the 70-290 (file sharing, folder permissions, etc.) - you just need to know what's different abotu them in XP than Server 03.
