  • MCSA 70-410 percentage required to pass?

I am currently studying for the MCSA 70-410 exam.
I just wondered what percentage is required in order to pass the exam, or is that not public knowledge?

Also, any advice on the best material to use for studying would be appreciated.

I have just finished the video series on Pluralsight.com, but I don't think I am quite ready for the exam yet.

As far as I know all Microsoft exams are 700 points to pass out of 1000. Since each question isn't the same amount of points it's not going to be a simple 70% of the questions. I also think you can get partial credit on questions but I'm not sure.

      Thanks, that makes sense.
I am going to look for a book and read through that before I attempt to take the exam in that case.

I used to like the MS Press books (hard copy, not ebook) as they came with a CD with practice exams on as well as a PDF copy of the book and practice materials. Don't know if they are still doing that though.

The questions weren't brilliant in all cases, but at least got you into the Microsoft way of thinking which isn't always the real-world way of thinking.

Pass mark is always 700, but AFAIK not always out of 1000 - I have taken exams where I scored over 1000, also ones where I scored in the 800's but the bar charts were close to 100%

Interesting. I never scored 1000 on a test but I assumed that was the max.
            Thanks Tom!
