  • Just booked the 70-291

As title says, just booked the 291,

What are the main areas in the exams from peoples experiances?

Do they go much into the binary side of IP etc?

Just after the main pointers to brush up on the key points really.

    So, DNS, DHCP, wins?

      About the calculations;
IIRC I didn't got any IP subnet calculations on the exam
Only questions like what should be his subnet or what should be his gateway and that kind of stuff.

From the top of my head: quite a few questions on DNS, some in RRAS, a couple on WSUS/SUS
Also, I got a few subnetting questions if I can remember correctly.
Just in case you do and in case you don't already know about this website.

Here are some other practice exam questions for the 70-291 (they are not braindumps)

                  http://www.free-tests.com/microsoft.shtml

There are simulations in this exam and multiple choice multiple answer questions.

It's supposted to be one of the hardest microsoft exams.

Know DNS inside out and RRAS

                  MCITP -W7,
MCSA+Messaging, CCENT, ICND2 slowly getting around to.

Just an update, i failed this.

For some reason, even though i studied, i just got all the RRAS questions wrong. Im putting this down to my cisco background (as ive never use an MS product for routing, lol)

So back to the drawing board, gonna attempt this again i hope on the 16th.

                            Cheers,

                            I couldnt actuly belive it,

It was also a survey type exam, with 15 extra questions with no score value.

Total of 70 questions, 1 sim, and 3.5 hours to finish.

Got good marks and 3 of the cats, but none on RRAS, was really supprised/shocked

Reacheh 600 marks so looking forward to trying to nail this on the 16th.
