  • Has anyone done MCTS 70-351 ISA 2006?

Just wondering what study sources you used as MS have no official course as yet. I have access to the ISA 2004 materials, is there much difference between the 2?

I'm not hugely experienced with ISA hence why work want me to do this one next, so bear that in mind!

I haven't done it but i am in the same position as you. I've been looking for some courses from QA-IQ they do a 1 day course for ISA 2006 and a 5 day for 2004. I don't believe there is that much difference. I would like to find a 5 day course in 2006 but I don't think there aren't any.

Train Signal have a ISA 2004 course. I like their material and find it very useful.

If you find any please let me know!

      Well, there are some differences.
Microsoft Doesn't have a ms press book, though they are recommending to do the ISA 2004 training and after that to do the upgrade exam.
The only book which I know is Microsoft ISA Server 2006 Unleashed. I don't know if this a good book to study from.

But like I said, there are no books or training courses.

I've done ISA 2004 a few weeks ago and a colleague did ISA 2006. Both of us are quite good on ISA server and have a lot of experience in it.
I passed ISA 2004 almost at 1000 points but he just passed above 700 points.
ISA 2006 was rather though he think. When I'm done with my upgrade exams to MCITP:EA I probably take the ISA 2006 test as well.

      In short:
There are no official courses for ISA 2006. You have to take the ISA 2004 course and you should play around with ISA 2006.
Still I think that ISA 2006 could also be a Servicepack for ISA 2004.
But I also think that when Microsoft read this they are really pissed

Thanks guys. My plan is to do the 2004 course (we have the Learnkey stuff at work) and then have a good play with ISA 2006 on a virtual machine. Most of our customers use ISA 2006 which helps, as does the fact that my boss is an MCSE Security specialist.
