  • Studying for 70-649

So I'm thinking about taking the 70-649 exam.

What have people found useful for the exam.

Right now I'm planning on downloading the 2008 trial from MS (install, break, fix, etc) and reading Introducing Windows Server 2008.
I will probably check out the virtual labs as well.

    Anything other advice?

    Thanks.

    Re: Studying for 70-649

I found the exam to be very much the key concepts from the 2003 MCSE with the slant towards the new features of Server 2008. Unsurprisingly!

Key things to focus on would be IIS (a lot), some IPV6 and a general understanding of 2008 itself. As ever, general use is the best preparation, breaking and putting it back together again.

As the other guys have said in the 649 thread, it's a relatively straightforward exam.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know how it goes. (so far it's been slow... only had time to install it, nothing else)
